Tucked away in the historic district, Milo's is a local favorite with a leafy, shaded patio that feels miles from the desert heat. Pair a glass of chilled Vermentino with an excellent artisan cheese board or a hot pressed panini.
Redstone Picnic Area
This is where the driving gets spectacular. Northshore Road curves along the edge of Lake Mead, offering empty, sweeping turns and views of purple volcanic mountains; pull over at Redstone to stretch your legs among the ancient, wind-carved red sand dunes.
Mouse's Tank Road
Save the best view for the late afternoon. As you enter Valley of Fire, the road dips and rises through a canyon of blazing pink and orange Aztec sandstone; pull off at the high point of Mouse's Tank Road for that iconic shot of the asphalt ribbon cutting through the rock.
